Temporary Quality Assurance Inspector

Job Summary:

Inspects final products and tooling to ensure compliance with order specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect and test product and tooling to ensure conformance.
• SPC/Data collection; product certifications.
• Determine product acceptance.
• Initiate Supplier rejection reports (nonconformance reports/NCRs)
• Follow work instructions, control plans as appropriate, notify supervisor of any changes.
• Provide input for continuous improvement
• Participate and fulfill appropriate responsibilities as defined in the ISO/QS Management System manuals.
• Cross Training in this role and transfer between the 1200 and 1400 Buildings required as necessary.
• Supports R&D as needed

Limits of Authority:

• Reject materials that do not meet quality standards
• Place nonconforming product/tooling on hold

Qualifications Required:

• High School Diploma / G.E.D preferred

Experience Required:

• One year mechanical inspection or previous product knowledge
• Manufacturing experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Knowledge of production processes
• Read, write and speak English(Bilingual is a plus)
• Proficiency in basic math, APQP and /or other appropriate skills as defined in the QMS/EMS/LMS Management System manuals
• Ability to use measuring gages; read prints
• Ability to determine acceptance by using drawings and instructions
• Communicate well with others

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 1st shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and 2nd shift 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. This position frequently requires overtime.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
