Quality Control Coordinator

What You'll Do:

Inspect emergency and specialty vehicles before and after upfitting to ensure quality and accuracy
Verify installation of electrical systems, lighting, sirens, communications equipment, consoles, mounts, cages, and more
Perform functional testing to confirm all systems operate correctly and integrate with the vehicle
Identify and document any issues, defects, or rework needed—and communicate clearly with technicians and supervisors
Complete detailed inspection checklists and maintain accurate documentation, including photos
Ensure vehicles are clean, secure, and fully ready for delivery to the customer
Support continuous improvement by helping identify trends and recurring issues

What You Bring:

3+ years of experience in vehicle inspection, automotive electrical, upfitting, or a related field
Strong attention to detail—you catch what others miss
Ability to read and follow build specifications, wiring diagrams, and checklists
Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, aftermarket accessories, or custom installations preferred
Ability to identify workmanship issues, functional defects, and installation inconsistencies
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with production, assembly, and service teams
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Internal applicants: This position is classified as Salary Grade 4 , with an hourly range of $21.78 to $32.50

ADA Requirements:

Bend, squat, climb, grasp, twist, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods.
Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs frequently, or more occasionally.
Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously.
Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer.
Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection.
