Mountain West Vinyl is looking for motivated and driven individuals to dive into the heart of manufacturing as Product Inspectors.

Positions for both: Product Inspector

Wage: Product Inspector: $16-$20/hr.

Shifts: Must be willing to work a shift-based schedule that rotates changes each month

Days Mon-Fri 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Swing Mon-Fri 2:00 PM-10:30 PM

Grave Sun-Thur 10:00 PM-6:30 AM

Product Inspectors:

At Mountain West Vinyl, being a Product Inspector is a vital mission, not just a job. You are the ultimate guardian of our quality, ensuring every product that reaches our customers represents our excellence.

Your tasks involve more than inspection. You'll skillfully prepare products for dispatch, wrapping them in bundles with precision and using a heat torch to seal the deal. This process is not only about safeguarding quality but also about mastering the artistry of packaging.

All skills listed below will have on-the-job training available.

Product Inspector Position Skills:

Inspect profiles to meet quality guidelines.

  • Ability to use tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Quality data entry.
  • Ability to accurately collect quality data.
  • Ability to enter data using computers and Excel.

Bundling

  • Prepare vinyl bundles with wood and shrink film systems.
  • Use of plastic banding and hand crimpers.
  • Ability to use a heat torch to shrink film application.
  • Operate forklifts to move bundles.
  • Enhance physical agility through repeated lifting and twisting.

Product Inspector Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • 2 years in a manufacturing or construction required.
  • 3 months of operating a forklift or heavy equipment required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify minor defects.
  • Basic understanding of measurement tools and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and operate machinery and equipment.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
