We connect local creatives, highlight emerging talent, and curate unforgettable experiences.We&rsquo;re expanding and looking for a creative, organized, and hands-on assistant to support event execution, content creation, and behind-the-scenes operations.Role OverviewWe need a multi-talented Creative Operations Assistant who can support both the creative and logistical side of event production.This role is perfect for someone who is:<ul><li>A natural creative</li><li>Organized and detail-oriented</li><li>Comfortable with social media and content</li><li>Energetic and hands-on at events</li><li>Passionate about art, music, and culture</li></ul>This person will work directly with the founder of Black Canvas and help elevate everything from content to event execution.ResponsibilitiesContent &amp; Marketing Support<ul><li>Capture BTS content at events and shoots</li><li>Assist with social media posting + organizing content</li><li>Help create simple graphics or flyers (optional but a plus)</li><li>Support weekly content planning</li><li>Help write captions, send emails, push event promotion</li></ul>Event Operations<ul><li>Assist with vendor check-in and artist coordination</li><li>Help with setup &amp; breakdown at events</li><li>Manage the door, guest lists, check-in, or merch table</li><li>Support run-of-show execution</li><li>Troubleshoot last-minute event needs</li><li>Keep the environment organized during events</li></ul>Creative &amp; Administrative Assistance<ul><li>Help brainstorm themes, aesthetics, and ideas for events</li><li>Assist with planning documents, checklists, and timelines</li><li>Communicate with artists, vendors, and team members</li><li>Maintain Google Drive, schedules, and task lists</li><li>Support creative direction for brand visuals + experiences</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Strong interest in events, art, culture, or nightlife</li><li>Good communication skills</li><li>Social media awareness (IG, TikTok)</li><li>Ability to multitask and stay organized</li><li>Comfortable being hands-on in fast-paced environments</li><li>Reliable transportation</li><li>Available nights and weekends</li></ul>Bonus Skills (not required):<ul><li>Photography/videography</li><li>Graphic design</li><li>TikTok/Instagram editing</li><li>Experience with events or creative projects</li><li>Marketing or communications background</li></ul>CompensationThis is a project-based position with:<ul><li>Event-by-event stipend</li><li>Commission opportunities (ticket sales, vendors, sponsorship leads)</li><li>Free entry to all Black Canvas events</li><li>Portfolio building + resume experience</li><li>Social media features + creative credit</li><li>Growth into a paid leadership role as the company expands</li></ul>To ApplyPlease submit:<ul><li>Resume</li><li>Links to your social media or portfolio (if available)</li></ul>Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourWork Location: In person
