Interior Designer - Custom and Spec HomesAbout the Role We&rsquo;re looking for a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our small but growing custom home building team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in multiple stages of the process &mdash; from plan design and material selections to final walkthroughs &mdash; and who thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment.You&rsquo;ll work directly with homeowners to guide them through the design process, helping to create cohesive, functional, and beautiful interiors &amp; exteriors that align with their vision, budget, and our construction schedule.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Partner with homeowners to develop design concepts, finishes, and color palettes for their custom home.</li><li>Coordinate and manage material and fixture selections &mdash; including cabinetry, countertops, lighting, flooring, and plumbing fixtures.</li><li>Prepare and maintain detailed selection sheets and specifications for the construction team and subcontractors.</li><li>Review design details with project managers and trade partners to ensure accurate execution.</li><li>Source materials and samples, manage vendor relationships, and stay current on new design ideas, product availability and lead times.</li><li>Support the team with plan reviews, job site visits, and coordination meetings as needed.</li><li>Maintain project organization and clear communication with both clients and the build team.</li><li>Offer creative, practical solutions that balance aesthetics, budget, and functionality.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Degree or certification in Interior Design or related field preferred.</li><li>2&ndash;5 years of residential design experience, ideally within a custom home or remodeling environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of residential materials, finishes, and construction processes.</li><li>Proficiency in design or drafting software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).</li><li>Excellent organization, communication, and client service skills.</li><li>Self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.</li><li>A collaborative, can-do attitude and genuine passion for helping clients bring their vision to life.</li></ul>Why You&rsquo;ll Love Working With Us<ul><li>Small, close-knit team where your ideas and creativity make a direct impact.</li><li>Opportunity to see projects through from concept to completion.</li><li>Supportive work environment that values craftsmanship, teamwork, and design excellence.</li><li>Flexible schedule options and growth opportunities as our company expands.</li></ul>Compensation is negotiable and depends on qualifications and experienceJob Type: Full-timeBase Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Interior Design: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
