Position Title: Bartender Location: Whiskey Distillery Tasting Room Position Type: Full-Time / Part-TimePosition Overview: We&rsquo;re looking for an energetic, knowledgeable bartender to join our distillery tasting room team. The ideal candidate is passionate about craft whiskey, delivers excellent hospitality, and brings personality to the bar&mdash;especially if you appreciate the neon vibes of 80s pop culture and the timeless influence of Wu-Tang Clan. This role combines classic bartending skills with brand storytelling, helping guests connect with the craft, history, and flavor behind every bottle.Key Responsibilities:Guest Experience<ul><li>Welcome guests to the tasting room and create a friendly, engaging environment.</li><li>Guide customers through whiskey tastings, explaining flavor profiles, mash bills, and distillation processes.</li><li>Recommend cocktails, pours, and bottle purchases based on guest preferences.</li><li>Maintain a fun, memorable bar atmosphere&mdash;whether the soundtrack leans toward synth-heavy 80s hits or classic hip-hop.</li></ul>Bartending &amp; Service<ul><li>Prepare and serve whiskey cocktails, neat pours, and tasting flights according to distillery standards.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of all house spirits, seasonal cocktails, and featured products.</li><li>Ensure responsible alcohol service and verify IDs when required.</li><li>Accurately process orders, payments, and tabs through the POS system.</li></ul>Daily Operational Tasks<ul><li>Open and set up the bar area (stocking glassware, prepping garnishes, setting up tasting stations).</li><li>Prepare cocktail ingredients including syrups, bitters, and fresh garnishes.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, tasting room, and service areas.</li><li>Restock whiskey bottles, mixers, glassware, and merchandise as needed.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.</li><li>Assist with bottle sales, merchandise displays, and guest checkout.</li><li>Perform end-of-shift duties including bar breakdown, cleaning equipment, and closing reports.</li></ul>Brand &amp; Culture<ul><li>Share the story of the distillery, production process, and unique whiskey offerings with guests.</li><li>Help create themed experiences or events that celebrate whiskey culture, music, and retro vibes.</li><li>Contribute to a welcoming team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of whiskey or willingness to learn about distillation and flavor profiles.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Must meet legal age requirements for alcohol service.</li><li>Appreciation for good music, good whiskey, and a little old-school attitude is a plus.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive hourly pay + tips</li><li>Staff discounts on bottles and merchandise</li><li>Opportunities to learn about craft distilling and whiskey production</li><li>A fun environment where great drinks meet great music</li></ul>This role is perfect for someone who loves hospitality, storytelling, and creating memorable experiences&mdash;while pouring great whiskey and keeping the vibe just right.Pay: From $12.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid training</li></ul>People with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork Location: In person
