Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive support in our office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, medical terminology, and clinical procedures, with experience in diverse medical environments. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and quality care delivery in a fast-paced healthcare setting.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately</li><li>Assist with patient examinations and procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings</li><li>Support physicians with tasks such as medication administration, wound dressing, and basic life support during emergencies</li><li>Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information and clinical notes</li><li>Prepare patients for diagnostic tests including X-ray procedures and other imaging modalities</li><li>Assist with ICD coding and documentation for billing purposes</li><li>Maintain clinical supplies and ensure cleanliness of the work environment according to safety standards</li><li>Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions and ensuring comfort throughout their visit or stay</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience working in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or urgent care centers is highly preferred</li><li>Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential</li><li>Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding processes is required</li><li>Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures or emergency medicine is a plus</li><li>Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required or must be obtained upon hire</li></ul>This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical specialties.Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
