Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered/Dental Assistant for a temporary two-month assignment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced clinical environment. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in clinical procedures, patient communication, and dental documentation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dental services while maintaining compliance with all safety and privacy standards.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. </li><li>Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed consistently. </li><li>Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring accurate positioning and adherence to radiation safety protocols. </li><li>Manage patient intake by taking vital signs, updating medical history, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits. </li><li>Operate electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix or Epic for accurate medical documentation and record keeping. </li><li>Support front desk operations by handling patient scheduling, verifying insurance information, and maintaining medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. </li><li>Perform dental laboratory tasks such as assisting with 3D scanner procedures or other medical imaging as required. </li><li>Maintain infection control standards and ensure the clinical environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA guidelines.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant license in accordance with state regulations. </li><li>Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry procedures. </li><li>Proficiency in dental software systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. </li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA privacy regulations and best practices for safeguarding patient information. </li><li>Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. </li><li>Experience performing chairside assisting during various dental procedures with competency in four-handed dentistry techniques. </li><li>Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and accurately capture high-quality images; familiarity with 3D scanners is a plus. </li><li>Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation practices related to dental care is desirable.
