Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the coffee industry and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting caf&eacute; environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service.Must have flexible hours Monday-Sunday; 7:00am to 6:00pmMust be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per weekPart-time and full time available.Must be able to obtain Hawaii Liquor License.Duties<ul><li>Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.</li><li>Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the caf&eacute; area, including equipment, countertops, and seating areas.</li><li>Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences.</li><li>Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate change is given and maintaining proper cash handling procedures.</li><li>Assist with food preparation and ensure compliance with food safety standards during service.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; assist in ordering as needed.</li><li>Uphold high standards of quality in both beverage preparation and customer interactions.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Previous barista experience or strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is advantageous.</li><li>Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.</li><li>Strong sales skills to promote menu items and enhance customer experience.</li><li>Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.</li><li>Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.</li><li>Knowledge of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation in a caf&eacute; environment.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
