Barista Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the coffee industry and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service.

Must have flexible hours Monday-Sunday; 7:00am to 6:00pm

Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

Part-time and full time available.

Must be able to obtain Hawaii Liquor License.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, countertops, and seating areas.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate change is given and maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
• Assist with food preparation and ensure compliance with food safety standards during service.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; assist in ordering as needed.
• Uphold high standards of quality in both beverage preparation and customer interactions.

Skills

• Previous barista experience or strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is preferred.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is advantageous.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Strong sales skills to promote menu items and enhance customer experience.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation in a café environment.
