Overview Join our dynamic transportation team as a Towing Dispatcher, where you'll be the vital link coordinating vehicle recovery and roadside assistance services. In this energetic role, you'll manage dispatch operations, communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and service providers, and ensure timely response to towing requests. This position offers an engaging environment for individuals passionate about logistics, transportation management, and delivering exceptional service.Duties<ul><li>Receive and prioritize incoming towing requests via multi-line phone systems, online platforms, and radio communications.</li><li>Utilize GPS, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and transportation management systems like Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine to locate vehicles and optimize dispatch routes.</li><li>Coordinate with drivers, service providers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to assign towing jobs efficiently while maintaining clear communication through phone etiquette and professional interaction.</li><li>Monitor fleet management systems to track vehicle status, update job progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks.</li><li>Maintain accurate data entry in transportation management systems and AS400 databases for dispatch records, shipping &amp; receiving logs, and incident reports.</li><li>Analyze operational data to improve dispatch efficiency, reduce wait times, and enhance overall logistics performance.</li><li>Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with clients regarding service updates and estimated arrival times.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience with dispatching in transportation or logistics environments; familiarity with freight movement is a plus.</li><li>Strong knowledge of GPS technology, GIS tools, transportation planning, and supply chain principles.</li><li>Proficiency in transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine.</li><li>Excellent analysis skills for route optimization and operational troubleshooting.</li><li>Exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally while demonstrating strong phone etiquette.</li><li>Adept at data entry with high accuracy using systems like AS400 and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.</li><li>Familiarity with fleet management software, shipping &amp; receiving procedures, and 3PL coordination is preferred.</li><li>Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
