Location: Remote or Birmingham, MITeam: BNP Media / IgniteDemand EngineeringDuration: Summer 2026 (10&ndash;12 weeks)About the RoleBNP Media is looking for a Full Stack Engineer Intern to join the team behind our IgniteDemand platform, a SaaS application used by marketing, analytics, and publishing teams across multiple BNP brands. You&rsquo;ll work alongside senior engineers improving our React + Spring Boot application, AWS infrastructure, and Stripe-integrated subscription features.This internship offers exposure to real production code and collaboration with a fast-moving engineering team that ships new features weekly.What You&rsquo;ll DoDevelop Across the Stack: Build and debug features across both frontend and backend, contributing to recent efforts such as:<ul><li>Multi-filter data downloads</li><li>Subscription management and Stripe webhook integration</li><li>Dynamic role-based access (VIEW_ONLY, FULL_ACCESS, ADMIN)</li><li>Auto-complete and UI animation enhancements</li><li>JSON type migration and schema validation</li><li>Obfuscation logic for free-tier user data</li></ul>Collaborate with Senior Engineers: Work with developers who recently implemented and pushed code to staging and prod such as:<ul><li>AWS WAF IP blocking and DNS automation via Route53</li><li>Async task optimization and staging environment CI/CD</li><li>Dynamic marketing-site deployment and SEO optimization</li></ul>User Experience Enhancements: Enhancements to React components (filter groups, download modals, alert preferences) while improving system performance and front-end accessibility.Contribute to Production Releases: Participate in code reviews, GitHub pull requests, and CI pipelines to ship features safely and consistently.Tech Stack You&rsquo;ll Work With<ul><li>Frontend: React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Tailwind</li><li>Backend: Java (Spring Boot), Postgres</li><li>Infrastructure: AWS (ECS, CloudWatch, WAF, Route53), Terraform, Docker</li><li>CI/CD: GitHub Actions, SonarQube</li><li>Payments &amp; Auth: Stripe API, JWT-based authentication</li><li>Monitoring &amp; Logs: CloudWatch, Datadog</li></ul>Who You Are<ul><li>Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with at least one year of college completed</li><li>Comfortable writing code in JavaScript/TypeScript and Java</li><li>Familiar with Java, React, REST APIs, and SQL</li><li>Interested in building scalable systems across front and back end</li><li>Enjoy collaborating with design and data teams to improve UX and performance</li><li>Curious about programming in general in JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, and Java, SaaS billing, CI/CD automation, and cloud infrastructure</li></ul>What You&rsquo;ll Gain<ul><li>End-to-end experience working on a production SaaS app</li><li>Hands-on exposure to full-stack releases, and Stripe billing, GitHub actions, AWS automation</li><li>Mentorship from engineers across backend, frontend, and DevOps domains</li><li>A portfolio of real commits in a live commercial application</li></ul>Job Type: InternshipPay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourWork Location: Remote
