Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-focused practice committed to excellence and continuous learning.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.</li><li>Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and documenting dental findings accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.</li><li>Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.</li><li>Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding and engagement.</li><li>Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.</li><li>Maintain strict infection control standards using aseptic techniques and adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.</li><li>Review documentation for accuracy, update medical records regularly, and assist with medical coding for billing purposes.</li><li>Support the dental team with clinical tasks such as medical imaging, documentation review, and assisting with pediatric dentistry procedures when needed.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic environment is required; familiarity with dental assisting duties is highly valued.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is preferred; experience with medical terminology and medical records management is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, anatomy, and dental terminology is essential for success in this role.</li><li>Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with children is advantageous but not mandatory; a compassionate approach toward pediatric patients is appreciated.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform patient care tasks effectively while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
