We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AR &amp; Bookkeeping Coordinator to take ownership of our accounts receivable process while maintaining clean, accurate financial records.Job descriptionThis role is critical to supporting firm operations, improving cash flow, and ensuring day-to-day financial consistency. It combines collections, billing support, bookkeeping, and payroll responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable (Primary Focus)&middot; Follow up on outstanding invoices via phone and email&middot; Monitor aging reports and actively reduce overdue balances&middot; Send invoices through Clio and ensure timely delivery&middot; Communicate professionally with clients regarding balances and payment expectations&middot; Escalate issues or risks as neededBilling Support&middot; Ensure invoices are accurate and sent on schedule&middot; Monitor retainer balances and flag low funds&middot; Maintain organized and accurate billing records in Clio&middot; Bookkeeping (QuickBooks)&middot; Categorize transactions and maintain clean financial records&middot; Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations using provided reports&middot; Keep books accurate, current, and audit-readyPayroll&middot; Run payroll on a consistent schedule&middot; Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time&middot; Record payroll entries properly in QuickBooks&middot; What This Role Does NOT Include:o Handling client trust transferso Financial strategy or high-level accounting decisionsQualifications&middot; Experience working in a law firm (required)&middot; Experience running payroll (required)&middot; Experience with QuickBooks (required)&middot; Experience with Clio or legal billing systems (strongly preferred)&middot; Background in accounts receivable or collections&middot; Strong attention to detail and organization&middot; Comfortable following up persistently on unpaid invoices&middot; Clear and professional communication skillsCompensation$35.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience Higher range available for candidates with strong legal billing and Clio experienceLocationCalifornia (hybrid preferred; remote considered for the right candidate)Office locations include: San Francisco, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Irvine, and San Diego.About Boyd Law, APCBoyd Law, APC is a well-established, 18-year law firm with a strong presence across California.
