HGV CLASS 2 MIXER / TIPPER DRIVERReporting To: Head of TransportBased: Needingworth, Cambridgeshire (Start and finish daily from Needingworth yard)Type: Full-time, PermanentBrice Aggregates, Needingworth, is a leading independent aggregate producer &amp; supplier in Cambridgeshire. We are looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Mixer / Tipper Driver to join our growing fleet and support the delivery of aggregates and concrete products safely and efficiently.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:General Driver Responsibilities<ul><li>Carry out deliveries and collections in a timely and safe manner while providing excellent customer service.</li><li>Ensure work schedules are received and understood via electronic device and/or Transport Manager.</li><li>Communicate professionally with customers and deal with issues effectively.</li><li>Supervise loading of the vehicle to ensure products are safely secured and transported.</li><li>Ensure deliveries and collections can be carried out safely whilst respecting customer property; if in doubt, consult with the customer and/or Transport Manager, Planner or Batcher.</li><li>Check goods with customers and obtain signatures/prints on delivery tickets. Report and record any discrepancies.</li><li>Carry out daily vehicle inspections prior to driving.</li><li>Maintain the condition and cleanliness of the vehicle, including cab and operational equipment.</li><li>Ensure vehicles are not subjected to unnecessary damage.</li></ul>Mixer Driver Duties<ul><li>Deliver concrete products safely and efficiently to customer sites.</li><li>Operate and maintain the mixer drum in line with operational and safety requirements.</li><li>Ensure the mixer drum is cleaned appropriately after use.</li><li>Work closely with the Batcher and Transport team to ensure timely deliveries.</li><li>Monitor concrete loads during transit to maintain product quality.</li><li>Ensure safe discharge of concrete at customer sites.</li></ul>Tipper Driver Duties<ul><li>Collect muck and materials from sites where required.</li><li>Deliver aggregates and other materials to customer locations.</li><li>Operate tipper vehicles safely and efficiently in quarry, construction and site environments.</li><li>Ensure loads are evenly distributed and safely secured before transport.</li><li>Carry out tipping operations safely and in accordance with site instructions.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and condition of the tipper body and associated equipment.</li></ul>Health &amp; Safety&middot; Drive vehicles safely and in accordance with all legal requirements.&middot; Operate within tachograph laws and driver hours regulations.&middot; Comply with fuel directives from the Transport Manager.&middot; Report all accidents and incidents in line with company procedures.&middot; Wear appropriate PPE at all times on site.&middot; Comply with all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and report any concerns appropriately.Other Duties&middot; Assist with general transport and operational duties as required.&middot; Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by management.QUALIFICATIONS&middot; Full UK Driving Licence&middot; Class 2 HGV Licence and Driver Qualification Card&middot; Digital Tachograph Card and Driver CPC&middot; NVQ in Fixed and Mobile Plant Operations (preferred)&middot; IOSH Managing Safely (preferred)SKILLS&middot; Strong communication and customer service skills&middot; Effective time management skills&middot; Good problem-solving ability&middot; Solid vehicle maintenance awareness including basic checks and minor repairs&middot; All-weather driving capability&middot; Ability to work independently&middot; Good interpersonal skills&middot; Good reactions and eyesight&middot; Ability to remain calm under pressureEXPERIENCE&middot; Minimum 2 years HGV Class 2 driving experience&middot; Experience within quarry, aggregates, construction or concrete environments preferredPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES&middot; Professional, reliable and punctual&middot; Self-motivated with a positive attitude&middot; Strong work ethic&middot; Confident and capable in carrying out duties&middot; Willingness to learn and take instruction&middot; Enthusiastic team playerHOURS&middot; Day Shift &ndash; Approximately 06:30 to 16:30/16:45&middot; Monday to Friday&middot; Overtime available where requiredPAY&pound;16.25 per hourREWARD PACKAGE / BENEFITS<ul><li>Modern, up-to-date fleet</li><li>Competitive rates of pay</li><li>Monthly incentive bonuses</li><li>Overtime opportunities</li><li>Company pension</li><li>Ongoing training and development</li><li>Free staff parking</li></ul>Pay: &pound;16.25 per hourWork Location: In person
