We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Child Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The therapist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating children and adolescents with a range of mental health issues. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young populations, strong clinical skills, and a passion for helping children thrive.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine the mental health needs of children and adolescents.</li><li>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.</li><li>Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address various emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues.</li><li>Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.</li><li>Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.</li><li>Offer crisis intervention and support as needed.</li><li>Educate and support families on mental health issues, treatment options, and strategies to assist their child.</li><li>Participate in case consultations, supervision, and professional development activities.</li><li>Stay current with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Master&rsquo;s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.</li><li>A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents.</li><li>Strong understanding of child development and psychopathology.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to build rapport with children and their families from diverse backgrounds.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience with specific therapeutic modalities such as Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).</li><li>Certification in specialized areas (e.g., trauma-informed care, autism spectrum disorders).</li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish or another language.</li></ul>Job Type: ContractPay: $60.80 - $110.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Shift availability:<ul><li>Day Shift (Preferred)</li><li>Night Shift (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317 (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
