Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant at our McKinney location! As a vital member of our clinic, you will assist with a variety of dental procedures, ensure smooth daily operations, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. We are committed to fostering a positive, collaborative environment where your skills can thrive and make a real difference in patients&rsquo; lives.Duties<ul><li>Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment</li><li>Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry</li><li>Take and develop X-ray images, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and records</li><li>Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical histories, and recording vital signs accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix</li><li>Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are ready for each procedure</li><li>Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and oral health best practices to promote ongoing wellness</li><li>Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all equipment complies with health standards, including 3D scanner operation when applicable</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with familiarity in dental assisting procedures and terminology</li><li>Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic is a plus</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques</li><li>Ability to take accurate X-ray images and operate medical imaging devices including 3D scanners</li><li>Strong understanding of anatomy, dental terminology, and medical documentation standards</li><li>Experience working in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry environments preferred</li><li>Certification in CPR/BLS; additional certifications in pediatrics or endodontics are advantageous</li><li>Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals</li></ul>Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-tier dental care!
