Are you the person everyone goes to when something doesn&rsquo;t tie, doesn&rsquo;t reconcile, or just looks&hellip; off?Internally, we call this role the &ldquo;Fixer.&rdquo; Because that&rsquo;s exactly what you do.The Fixer oversees the bookkeeping work for clients; not by doing all the day-to-day entries, but by reviewing, correcting, and making sure everything is right. You&rsquo;ll find problems, solve them, and ensure clients receive clean, accurate, and understandable financials.This is a senior-level bookkeeping role focused on technical accounting, quality control, and problem-solving.WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL DO<ul><li>Fix &amp; Resolve Bookkeeping Problems</li><li>Identify and resolve discrepancies in client books</li><li>Troubleshoot issues between systems (QBO, invoicing/payment platforms, payroll, etc.)</li><li>Investigate A/R and other issues by working inside client systems</li><li>Handle payroll and sales tax discrepancies, including communication with state agencies when needed</li></ul>Quality Control &amp; Month-End Oversight<ul><li>Review bookkeeping work for accuracy and completeness</li><li>Ensure financials are clean, tied out, and ready for reporting</li><li>Review month-end reports before they go to clients</li><li>Maintain high standards across all client files</li></ul>Monthly Reviews &amp; Client Communication<ul><li>Communicate with clients (primarily through our portal)</li><li>Add notes to reports so clients understand their numbers and next steps</li><li>Occasionally communicate with clients via phone or Zoom</li></ul>Support &amp; Guide the Team<ul><li>Answer questions from bookkeepers and provide direction</li><li>Make decisions when things are unclear&mdash;this is a decision-making role</li><li>Collaborate in a positive, supportive way to elevate team performance</li></ul>Cleanup &amp; New Client Onboarding<ul><li>Review new client books and create cleanup plans</li><li>Execute and delegate cleanup work</li><li>Build client-specific workflows and SOPs for ongoing success</li><li>Improve Systems &amp; Processes</li><li>Identify workflow issues and help improve them</li><li>Create and update SOPs alongside the team</li><li>Stay aligned with internal processes to keep things running smoothly</li></ul>WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT?<ul><li>Problem Solver - You enjoy digging into issues and figuring things out; especially the messy ones.</li><li>Decisive &amp; Confident - You make informed decisions and guide others without hesitation.</li><li>Detail-Oriented - You catch what others miss and take pride in accurate financials.</li><li>Collaborative - You support your team and help them succeed.</li><li>Tech-Savvy (We use the heck out of tech!) - You&rsquo;re comfortable learning new systems, troubleshooting integrations, and figuring out how platforms connect; and why they sometimes don&rsquo;t.</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>In-depth knowledge of monthly bookkeeping processes and quality control</li><li>Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting</li><li>Experience reviewing and correcting bookkeeping work</li><li>Comfortable handling complex reconciliations and journal entries</li><li>Experience with QuickBooks Online</li><li>Experience troubleshooting integrations and third-party systems</li><li>Comfortable communicating with clients and external agencies when needed</li><li>Please include &ldquo;Fixer&rdquo; in the subject line when applying</li></ul>HOW THIS ROLE WORKS<ul><li>You oversee the accuracy of the books&mdash;you are the final checkpoint</li><li>You will rarely be client-facing, but will step in when needed</li><li>You are a decision-maker for the bookkeeping team</li><li>You help ensure financials go out accurately and on time</li></ul>SCHEDULE &amp; AVAILABILITYWe are a lifestyle business: we want you to have the freedom to live the life you want.
