<div>Position Summary

The Facilities Manager at The Hope Center, part of Building Hope in the City (BHITC), is responsible for maintaining a professional, operational, and welcoming environment. The role involves overseeing facility maintenance, repairs, and cleaning; managing contracts for services like snow removal and waste management; and supervising cleaning staff. The manager also handles inventory control and coordinates facility rentals, ensuring smooth communication with event rentals and on-site support during events. The ideal candidate will have a variety of basic maintenance skills, strong organizational and interpersonal abilities, and the physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds. 
Position Details
<ul>
<li>Part-time, non-exempt, hourly position (approximately 29 hours per week)</li>
<li>Primary work location is at The Hope Center, with occasional local travel to supply stores or other locations within the organization</li>
<li>Reports to the Director of The Hope Center</li></ul> 


Primary Job Duties

Facility Care, Maintenance and Cleaning
<ul>
<li>Manages and oversees Hope Center maintenance and repairs needs; contacts and schedules contractors as required</li>
<li>Provides basic maintenance services such as touch-up painting, lighting, simple electrical and plumbing repairs, carpentry, tool and equipment upkeep, etc.</li>
<li>Oversees and manages all equipment maintenance, including boilers, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and kitchen equipment</li>
<li>Manages timelines and processes for facility maintenance including window washing, carpet cleaning, custodial, waste management, grounds keeping and snow removal contracts</li>
</ul>
Inventory Management
<ul>
<li>Oversees the management and inventory of all Hope Center property by ensuring the proper storage and record keeping</li>
</ul>
Facility Rentals and Contracts
<ul>
<li>Manages facility rental agreements and rental calendar</li>
<li>Communicate with renters regarding contracts, payments and facility issues</li>
<li>Represents BHITC on-site, providing renters with access to building and ensuring proper check out at the conclusion of all events</li></ul> 


Key Skills
<ul>
<li>Self-directed and self-motivated, able to work independently</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of building operations, maintenance requirements, and technology</li>
<li>Ability to effectively delegate and manage responsibilities</li>
<li>Ability to relate positively and effectively with Hope Center staff and volunteers</li>
<li>Comfortable in cross-cultural and multi-cultural environments</li>
<li>Adaptability and ability to prioritize requests</li></ul> 


Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends</li>
<li>Able to stand and work for extended periods without sitting</li>
<li>Physically able to walk, twist, push, pull, and lift at least 40 pounds</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and access to a personal vehicle</li></ul> 


Compensation and Benefits

<li>Starting at $20/hr, commensurate with experience</li>
