Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working hands-on in accounting with a &ldquo;roll up your sleeves&rdquo; approach.Duties<ul><li>Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, including preparation of journal entries, account/variance analysis, and coordination of audits</li><li>Examine, verify, and reconcile account statements, expense reports, invoices, and various business transactions</li><li>Oversees all activities within the accounting department.</li><li>Personal property returns</li><li>Prepare monthly account reconciliations</li><li>Assisting in the completion of year-end external audit.</li><li>Manage and maintain the general ledger</li><li>Preparing sales tax returns and corporate reporting requirements</li><li>Perform various balance sheet reconciliations, such as credit card reconciliation, major cash account reconciliations and major reserve account reconciliations</li><li>Complete understanding of department&rsquo;s accounting policies and practices, GAAP, and all local, state and federal tax rules and regulations.</li><li>Reviews accounting processes and recommends changes or improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and reliability of the internal control framework surrounding financial reporting.</li><li>Responsible for internal, external, state, and regulatory audits.</li><li>Posting bank transactions and completing month-end bank reconciliations</li><li>Assisting with remitting and recording payments to vendors</li><li>Creating and remitting invoices to customers</li><li>Maintain automated payables system including bill payments and enter GL accruals when needed.</li><li>Review and approve invoice payment requests within accounts payable system as to appropriate coding, accuracy versus supporting documentation and conformity with the approved budget.</li><li>AP &amp; AR processing and management</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>BS degree in Accounting٫ Finance or other relevant are; a certification such as CMA or CPA is a bonus</li><li>Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience.</li><li>Advance Excel skills</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to query, manage, comprehend, and provide analysis for large data sets and complex business documents required</li><li>Strong work ethic and the ability to meet set deadlines</li><li>Prior experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process</li><li>Understanding of financial accounting statements</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $74,000.00 - $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>8 hour shift</li><li>Monday to Friday</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Tampa, FL 33634 (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Tampa, FL 33634: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
