Overview Burrell School District Accounts Payable/Accounting ClerkAreas of Responsibility: Accounts Payable (A/P), Cash Receipts, Bank Reconciliations, Purchasing, and General Accounting Data Entry tasks&middot; Verify, code, enter and process invoices for payment with multiple funds/accounts using the District&rsquo;s financial accounting software&middot; Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments&middot; Reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies&middot; Process check runs and ACH payments at least twice monthly&middot; Process Purchase Orders in financial software&middot; Maintain accurate vendor account files&middot; Ensure compliance with district policies and procedures for purchases and invoice processing&middot; Receive, process and post payments received by check, cash, and ACH&middot; Prepare bank deposits through online bank system and take cash deposits to bank as needed&middot; Reconcile multiple bank accounts monthly&middot; Data Entry of prepared Journal Entries, Cash Receipts Entries, Budgetary Transfer Entries&middot; Create, prepare, and provide reports for monthly meetings and annual audits&middot; Communicate with employees and vendors regarding purchases, invoices, cash receipts&middot; Assist with supporting the implementation and maintenance of effective accounts payable and other general accounting processes and controlsRequirements: &middot; Experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping or general accounting; Understanding of accounts payable process&middot; Associates or Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Accounting preferred or Business Degree with accounting course study and/or general knowledge of accounting practices&middot; Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Google (Sheets, Docs, Drive); Familiarity with Accounts Payable/Accounting Software&middot; Strong data entry skills; Meticulous attention to details; Exceptional organizational skills; Ability to multi-task; Self-starterSolid analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skillsAPPLY BY MONDAY JULY 6, 2026:1.
