Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced, all-around Senior Diesel Technician to join our service team working on fire apparatus. This role requires a skilled mechanic capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems.The ideal candidate is a dependable team player with strong communication skills, a willingness to continue learning, and the flexibility to support service needs, including limited travel.QualificationsRequired<ul><li>5+ years of hands-on mechanical work experience</li><li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License</li><li>Experience working in a team-based environment</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and schedules</li><li>Demonstrates humility, professionalism, and a strong work ethic</li><li>ASE Suspension/Steering</li><li>ASE Brakes</li></ul>Preferred <ul><li>ASE Diesel Engine</li><li>ASE Electrical</li><li>EVT certifications, or a willingness to obtain if not already held</li><li>Willingness to travel as needed</li><li>Class A or B CDL or willingness to obtain one within 6 months</li><li>Diesel school training</li><li>Combination of diesel, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting experience</li><li>Experience working on commercial vehicles or emergency apparatus</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on fire apparatus</li><li>Service and troubleshoot engines, pumps, brakes, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and aerial devices</li><li>Follow written and verbal work instructions, repair orders, and established shop processes</li><li>Perform work in accordance with company, industry, and safety standards</li><li>Conduct thorough inspections and identify additional safety or service needs</li><li>Road test vehicles to verify repair quality and safe operation</li><li>Accurately document all work performed and recommended repairs</li><li>Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and internal team members regarding work status and technical needs</li><li>Work collaboratively as a team player, assisting other technicians as needed</li><li>Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance, punctuality, and task follow-through</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment</li><li>Properly use, maintain, and account for tools and equipment</li><li>Follow all OSHA, environmental, and hazardous waste regulations</li><li>Participate in manufacturer training, industry programs, and ongoing professional development</li><li>Actively learn and train to become a subject-matter expert on fire apparatus systems</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>Why This RoleThis position offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical emergency equipment in a professional environment where experience, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement are valuedPay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
