The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood development, possesses excellent communication skills, and is eager to contribute to a positive learning environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide flexible classroom support across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers.</li><li>Assist lead teachers with facilitating pre prepped lesson plans and curriculum that align with educational standards and promote literacy education, math skills, and social-emotional growth.</li><li>Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and physical development, including teaching physical education including ample outdoor play.</li><li>Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior management strategies and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for all children.</li><li>Help with classroom organization and cleaning tasks, including setting up learning stations, preparing materials for lessons, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met.</li><li>Collaborate with educators on individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services to support their unique needs.</li><li>Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.</li><li>Assist in administering assessments or standardized testing when necessary to monitor student progress and inform instruction.</li><li>Contribute to ongoing professional development by staying informed about childhood development trends and best practices in childcare and early childhood education.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.</li><li>Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, tutoring, or teaching physical education is advantageous. Musical &amp; artistic talents welcome.</li><li>Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs and NAEYC standards.</li><li>Previous daycare or preschool experience enhances understanding of child welfare standards and classroom dynamics.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, staff, and community partners.</li><li>Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm. hours vary between 7:30am to 5:00 pm.
