Job Summary Butler Tibbetts is seeking a talented litigation associate to join our growing firm, focusing primarily on commercial litigation, including managed care, healthcare law, and ERISA matters. We are looking for a self-motivated attorney eager to take on responsibility and contribute to the firm&rsquo;s continued success.Duties<ul><li>&middot; Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters, with a focus on healthcare law, managed care litigation, and ERISA matters.</li><li>Draft and argue motions in state and federal courts.</li><li>Oversee the discovery process and document review.</li><li>Develop case strategy and collaborate with partners on litigation matters.</li><li>Handle client communications and build long-term client relationships.</li><li>Court appearances throughout Connecticut, New York City, and Long Island.</li><li>Assist with family and divorce law matters as needed.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.</li><li>Admission to both NY and CT bars is required, but candidates eligible for admission will be considered with a probationary period to obtain admission.</li><li>Experience or interest in managed care, healthcare law, and ERISA preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency with legal research platforms including LexisNexis and Westlaw.</li><li>Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting and administrative tasks within a law office setting.</li><li>2-6 years of litigation experience (candidates with more or less experience will be considered if they are the right fit).</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Work Location: In person
