Associate Attorney

Butler Tibbetts is seeking a talented litigation associate to join our growing firm, focusing primarily on commercial litigation, including managed care, healthcare law, and ERISA matters. Duties

• · Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters, with a focus on healthcare law, managed care litigation, and ERISA matters.
• Draft and argue motions in state and federal courts.
• Oversee the discovery process and document review.
• Develop case strategy and collaborate with partners on litigation matters.
• Handle client communications and build long-term client relationships.
• Court appearances throughout Connecticut, New York City, and Long Island.
• Assist with family and divorce law matters as needed.

Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to both NY and CT bars is required, but candidates eligible for admission will be considered with a probationary period to obtain admission.
• Experience or interest in managed care, healthcare law, and ERISA preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with legal research platforms including LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting and administrative tasks within a law office setting.
• 2-6 years of litigation experience (candidates with more or less experience will be considered if they are the right fit).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
