Boutique law firm in Oakland, California, is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist to join our team. The candidate will have hands-on experience with legal billing and/or legal e-billing platforms This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, vendors, and clients.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare, review, and submit invoices through various e-billing systems (e.g., Serengeti, CounselLink, Tymetrix, Legal Tracker, Collaborati, etc.)</li><li>Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and resolve any rejections or discrepancies in a timely manner</li><li>Track matter budgets, accruals, and billing deadlines as required by clients</li><li>Generate reports on billing for management review</li><li>Support month-end and year-end closing processes</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>2+ years of legal billing experience</li><li>Proficiency with e-billing platforms (experience with multiple systems is a plus)</li><li>Familiarity with time entry and financial management systems (e.g., Clio, Caret, Amicus, ProLaw)</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to interact with attorneys, vendors, and clients professionally</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat</li></ul>The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $75,000 depending on experience.
