&lt;Job Summary&gt; Join our dynamic construction team as a Welder Helper/Laborer, where you'll play a vital role in supporting skilled welders and fabricators on diverse projects. This paid role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a career in the manufacturing and construction industries.&lt;Duties&gt;<ul><li>Assist welders with setup, positioning, and material handling to streamline welding operations</li><li>Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing, and ensuring all tools and equipment are ready for use</li><li>Handle hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as plasma cutters and press brake machines safely and efficiently</li><li>Support with pipe threading, ductwork assembly, and sheet metal fabrication tasks according to project specifications</li><li>Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements</li><li>Operate forklifts and rigging equipment to move heavy materials or components on-site</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment</li></ul>&lt;Requirements&gt;<ul><li>Prior construction site experience or related hands-on work in manufacturing or fabrication environments</li><li>Basic knowledge of welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and &lt;LOCATION&gt; welding standards</li><li>Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings</li><li>Ability to use calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and mechanical measuring devices accurately</li><li>Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake operation, and assembly processes</li><li>Understanding of ASME codes &amp; standards relevant to welding and fabrication work</li><li>Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication tasks</li><li>Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one upon hire is preferred</li><li>Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely</li></ul>This energetic opportunity invites motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in welding support roles.
