Welder Helper/Laborer

<Duties>

• Assist welders with setup, positioning, and material handling to streamline welding operations
• Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing, and ensuring all tools and equipment are ready for use
• Handle hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as plasma cutters and press brake machines safely and efficiently
• Support with pipe threading, ductwork assembly, and sheet metal fabrication tasks according to project specifications
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
• Operate forklifts and rigging equipment to move heavy materials or components on-site
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment

<Requirements>

• Prior construction site experience or related hands-on work in manufacturing or fabrication environments
• Basic knowledge of welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding standards
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and mechanical measuring devices accurately
• Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake operation, and assembly processes
• Understanding of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding and fabrication work
• Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication tasks
• Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one upon hire is preferred
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
