Responsibilities</b></h2></div><div><div><div><p><b>
Duties:</b></p><ul><li>
Oversee maintenance of mechanical equipment including bucket elevators, unloaders, conveyor belts, and cement dome reclamation system</li><li>
Assign job tasks to hourly workforce</li><li>
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints and repair manuals</li><li>
SAP responsibilities, purchase order creation, release and tracking, and maintenance of work orders</li><li>
Maintain critical parts inventory, part ordering, and inventory control</li><li>
Assist in planning, fabrication, and completion of improvements and projects</li><li>
Ensure high quality of service to all customers, reliable operation of all plant equipment and the efficient use of labor and facilities to optimize the cost of the operations</li><li>
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local labor, safety, and environmental regulations</li><li>
Develop an operating budget; track operating costs and look for ways to improve costs without sacrificing safety or service</li><li>
Develop and implement successful training programs for personnel</li><li>
Participate in the hiring process and identify talent for openings</li><li>
Monitor and approve timekeeping for assigned employees</li><li>
Assist / Develop / Manage &ndash; Annual Kiln Reline Budget(s) and Scheduled Finish Mill Outage Budget(s)</li><li>
Support / Implement &ndash; Predictive Technology Activities and resulting Countermeasures</li><li>
Assign tasks / Manage &ndash; On-site contractor crews</li><li>
Participate in Weekend On-call Rotation Program</li><li>
Support Plant Wide Safety Projects and Initiatives</li><li>
Develop reliable third-party contractor, vendor, and supplier opportunities</li><li>
Support / Manage / Update existing mechanical PM Program</li><li>

Education</b></h2></div><div><p>
High school diploma/GED</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Requirements/Qualifications</b></h2></div><div><div><div><div><ul><li>
Physical requirements: working in confined spaces, ability to lift over 50 lbs., climb stairs</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>
Solid mechanical/control system skills and the ability to train others</li><li>
Able to work effectively both individually and as part of a team</li><li>
Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills</li></ul><p><b>
Preferred</b></p><div><div><ul><li>
Working knowledge of SAP Production.</li><li>
Experience working with a union contract.</li><li>
Understanding of California state labor laws related to wage and hour.</li><li>

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.</p></div></div></div><p></p>
