If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for construction accounting, this opportunity is perfect for you to contribute to our growth and success.Duties<ul><li>Maintain accurate general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation to ensure financial integrity across all projects.</li><li>Perform balance sheet reconciliation regularly to verify the accuracy of asset, liability, and equity accounts.</li><li>Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections aligned with project timelines.</li><li>Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial tools to record transactions, generate reports, and support financial analysis.</li><li>Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure proper debits &amp; credits are applied according to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).</li><li>Prepare detailed financial reports including budgets, project cost analysis, and cash flow statements to support decision-making.</li><li>Assist with payroll processing, tax preparation, and compliance related to construction projects and governmental regulations.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting within the construction industry or related fields.</li><li>Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other financial management tools.</li><li>Knowledge of corporate accounting standards as well as non-profit or governmental accounting practices is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with GAAP principles, double entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, and journal entries.</li><li>Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.</li><li>Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits &amp; credits, account reconciliation, budgeting, and technical accounting procedures.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with experience in 10 key typing and detailed financial report writing.</li><li>Effective communication skills for collaborating with project managers, auditors, and vendors.
