<ul><li><div><div><b>Job Summary</b><b>:</b></div>
<ul><li><div><div>The performance of preventive maintenance assignments in accordance with established procedures. May be required to paint, varnish, stain, wallpaper, and enamel surfaces using appropriate equipment and techniques.</div>
</div></li></ul></div></li><li><div><div><b>Education</b><b>:</b></div>
<ul><li><div><div>Position requires a high school diploma or GED or 2-3 years equivalent combination of education and experience in related area. Job-related trade school completion, preferred. Specific technical skills are required to fulfill department requirements. Up to six (6) months on-the-job training provided to gain proficiency, if needed.</div>
</div></li></ul></div></li><li><div><div><b>Registration/Certification/Licensure</b><b>:</b></div>
<ul><li><div>Unexpired Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker or other facilities maintenance-related certification.</div>
</li><li><div>Unexpired, unsuspended driver&rsquo;s license if incumbent will be required to drive as part of their routine job duties.</div>
</li></ul></div></li><li><div><div><b>Experience</b><b>:</b></div>
<ul><li><div><div>Previous experience in plumbing, A/C and electricity required. One (1) to three (3) years experience in a structured maintenance environment required. Previous experience in a hospital maintenance department preferred.</div>
</div></li></ul></div></li><li><div><div><b>Other Requirements</b><b>:</b></div>
<ul><li><div>Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.</div>
</li><li><div>Effectively communicates by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.</div>
</li><li><div>Ability to work independently producing quality work.</div>
</li><li><div>May require the ability to drive as part of routine job duties.</div>
</li><li><div>Ability to respond promptly to an on-call schedule if assigned.</div>
</li><li><div>Ability to effectively prioritize work assignments and job requests.</div>
</li><li><div>Ability to maintain knowledge of carpentry, electricity, plumbing, and mechanical systems and demonstrate a general skill level with power tools and equipment to effectively complete job duties and assignments.</div>
</li><li><div><div>Ability to paint and wallpaper if required.</div>
