Trainee Engineer (Electrical)

Roles and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Study and analyze tender documents, technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).</li><li>Identify scope of work, project requirements, and applicable standards (IEC, IS, etc.).</li><li>Review client&rsquo;s inquiry to understand exact product and system requirements.</li><li>Prepare detailed cost breakdowns covering material, labor, fabrication, wiring, testing, and logistics.</li><li>Estimate costs for components such as switchgear, relays, PLCs, control devices, busbars, etc.</li><li>Collect price quotations from vendors/suppliers for bought-out items.</li><li>Prepare and maintain cost database for recurring components.</li><li>Evaluate project feasibility and suggest value engineering options to reduce cost.</li><li>Prepare and submit professional technical and commercial proposals.</li><li>Ensure accuracy in costing, technical compliance, and delivery timelines.</li><li>Coordinate with Sales / Business Development team for quotation submission.</li><li>Follow up with clients for clarification and negotiation.</li><li>Liaise with Design, Purchase, and Production teams for accurate cost and technical data.</li><li>Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for price negotiations and lead times.</li><li>Support Project team during order execution phase for any estimation-related clarifications.</li><li>Maintain records of all estimation data, submitted offers, and revisions.</li><li>Update project estimation logs and tender tracking sheets.</li><li>Prepare periodic reports on estimation performance and quotation success rates.</li></ul>Key Skills Required:<ul><li>Strong knowledge of electrical systems and switchgear components (MCC, PCC, APFC, Control Panels, PLC Panels).</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and ERP systems.</li><li>Analytical and numerical ability for cost evaluation.</li><li>Good communication and negotiation skills.</li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.</li></ul>Qualification:<ul><li>Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical &amp; Electronics Engineering.</li><li>1&ndash;3years of experience in estimation or tendering within an electrical panel manufacturing or EPC environment.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;15,000.00 - &#8377;30,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
