Caras Health is a concierge internal medicine practice. We provide the highest level of care to our patients in a small private office setting with three internal medicine physicians in Portola Valley. The Patient Care Advocate supports one of the physicians.This position is onsite five days per week, possibly four onsite and one remote.On remote work days, you must be within driving distance of the office in the occasional event you are needed to backup for sick/out-of-office staff.Key DutiesGreeting patients as they arrive to appointmentsPerforming blood draws, taking vitals, giving injectionsBasic wound carePatient care advocate: helping patients schedule appointments with specialists, supporting pre-authorizations with insurance companiesAnswering phones and patient emailsCustomer serviceEffectively respond to inquiries from patients and/or referring physicians in an accurate and timely fashion.Other administrative activitiesRequirementsExcellent interpersonal skills and a patient-focused approachExcellent written skillsExcellent organizational skillsHighly detail orientedHighly competent at blood draws, injectionsObsessive with follow-up and seeing tasks through to completionAbility to multi-task and manage many critical tasks in an organized and efficient mannerProfessionalism, reliabilityAbility to work independentlyDiscretion and appropriate judgment regarding patient confidentialityQualificationsMinimum 5 years of directly relevant experience in medical care settingTypical Office software - email, word processing, basic spreadsheets requiredElectronic medical record experience preferredBachelor&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent preferredWriting sample may be requested with applicationTraining regarding HIPAA may be requiredCovid-19 vaccination requiredJob Type: Full-timePay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Medical Specialty:<ul><li>Internal Medicine</li><li>Primary Care</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Are you proficient in phlebotomy?</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Associate (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
