CareBuilders at Home caregivers provide non-medical homemaker and companion services to clients in the comfort of their homes. Caregivers support clients by promoting safety, independence, and quality of life while following all agency policies, client care plans, and state regulatory requirements. 
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Some of your responsibilities might include:</li><li>
Following individualized care plans and communicating any changes in condition</li><li>
Providing safety oversight</li><li>
Assisting clients with personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.)</li><li>
Providing support for safe mobility (experience with a Hoyer lift preferred)</li><li>
Providing companionship and emotional support</li><li>
Escorting clients to appointments, errands, or community activities</li><li>
Providing light housekeeping, laundry services, household organization</li><li>
Meal planning and preparation according to dietary needs</li><li>
Grocery shopping and errands</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned within agency scope</li></ul>
Caregiver Requirements:<ul><li>
HHA, PCA, or PCT certification</li><li>
CPR Certification preferred</li><li>
Follow a detailed care plan and complete daily reporting post shift</li><li>
Valid drivers license and clean driving record if transportation is provided as part of duties</li><li>
A valid driver's license is not a requirement to apply for the job or to be hired.</li><li>
Must pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle driving record check</li><li>
Legally authorized to work in the United States</li><li>
18 years of age or older</li><li>
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time</li><li>
Maintain client confidentiality and privacy</li><li>
Comply with CT elder abuse and neglect reporting requirements</li><li>
Have a compassionate and professional attitude with excellent communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening</li></ul>

Responsibilities of a Caregiver / Home Care Aide include:<ul><li>
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide joyful companionship and emotional support to clients.</li><li>
Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up.</li><li>
Accompany clients to appointments, errands, walks, nature outings, and social outings.</li><li>
Monitor and report clients&rsquo; daily activities and changes in clients' health or behavior.</li><li>
Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients.</li></ul>
Qualifications of a Caregiver:<ul><li>
Previous caregiving experience (professional or personal), providing assistance with personal care, companionship, and activities of daily living.</li><li>
Compassionate, patient, and dependable.</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Ability to follow care plans and instructions.</li><li>
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.</li></ul> 
Requirements:<ul><li>
Ability to perform essential job duties, which may include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, and assisting clients with mobility.</li><li>
Able to speak, read, and write English and communicate effectively with the office team members (bilingual abilities are a plus).</li><li>
Must be 18 years of age or older.</li><li>
Must be current on the California Home Care Aide Registry (or willing to register or re-register&mdash; we can help with the process).</li><li>
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (with proof of proper vehicle insurance if required for assignments).</li><li>
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.</li><li>
Tuberculosis (TB) clearance required prior to working with clients (within previous 90 days or within 7 days of hiring).</li></ul>
