Responsibilities of a Caregiver / Home Care Aide include:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide joyful companionship and emotional support to clients.

• Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up.

• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, walks, nature outings, and social outings.

• Monitor and report clients’ daily activities and changes in clients' health or behavior.

• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients.

Qualifications of a Caregiver:

• Previous caregiving experience (professional or personal), providing assistance with personal care, companionship, and activities of daily living.

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to follow care plans and instructions.

• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Requirements:

• Ability to perform essential job duties, which may include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, and assisting clients with mobility.

• Able to speak, read, and write English and communicate effectively with the office team members (bilingual abilities are a plus).

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must be current on the California Home Care Aide Registry (or willing to register or re-register— we can help with the process).

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (with proof of proper vehicle insurance if required for assignments).

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

• Tuberculosis (TB) clearance required prior to working with clients (within previous 90 days or within 7 days of hiring).
