Responsibilities of a Caregiver / Home Care Aide include:
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide joyful companionship and emotional support to clients.
Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up.
Accompany clients to appointments, errands, walks, nature outings, and social outings.
Monitor and report clients’ daily activities and changes in clients' health or behavior.
Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients.
Qualifications of a Caregiver:
Previous caregiving experience (professional or personal), providing assistance with personal care, companionship, and activities of daily living.
Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow care plans and instructions.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Requirements:
Ability to perform essential job duties, which may include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, and assisting clients with mobility.
Able to speak, read, and write English and communicate effectively with the office team members (bilingual abilities are a plus).
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be current on the California Home Care Aide Registry (or willing to register or re-register— we can help with the process).
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (with proof of proper vehicle insurance if required for assignments).
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Tuberculosis (TB) clearance required prior to working with clients (within previous 90 days or within 7 days of hiring).
