Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Social Worker to join our dynamic behavioral health team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through direct patient care, clinical research, and innovative therapeutic approaches in a supportive environment committed to excellence and growth.Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans.</li><li>Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).</li><li>Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and promote positive behavioral change.</li><li>Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention strategies, crisis management protocols, and behavior management techniques to ensure client safety.</li><li>Provide specialized counseling for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, grief, addiction issues, chronic pain, gender issues, and geriatrics.</li><li>Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations; utilize CPT coding for billing purposes.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, educators, case managers, and research staff to coordinate care and support clients&rsquo; holistic well-being.</li><li>Engage in clinical research activities related to mental health interventions and behavioral health outcomes; contribute to data collection efforts for continuous improvement.</li><li>Offer telehealth services utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health care across various settings including outpatient clinics and inpatient facilities.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or Social Worker in the respective state; licensure must be current and unrestricted.</li><li>Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or art/dance therapy; experience with ICD coding is preferred.</li><li>Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).</li><li>Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and electronic health record systems.</li><li>Experience working in outpatient clinics or inpatient settings; hospital experience is highly desirable.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with children &amp; families; experience in pediatrics or special education is a plus.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments and patient evaluations thoroughly.</li><li>Knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards is advantageous.
