We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Social Worker to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and promote positive behavioral change.
• Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention strategies, crisis management protocols, and behavior management techniques to ensure client safety.
• Provide specialized counseling for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, grief, addiction issues, chronic pain, gender issues, and geriatrics.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations; utilize CPT coding for billing purposes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, educators, case managers, and research staff to coordinate care and support clients’ holistic well-being.
• Engage in clinical research activities related to mental health interventions and behavioral health outcomes; contribute to data collection efforts for continuous improvement.
• Offer telehealth services utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health care across various settings including outpatient clinics and inpatient facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or Social Worker in the respective state; licensure must be current and unrestricted.
• Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or art/dance therapy; experience with ICD coding is preferred.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and electronic health record systems.
• Experience working in outpatient clinics or inpatient settings; hospital experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with children & families; experience in pediatrics or special education is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments and patient evaluations thoroughly.
• Knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards is advantageous.
