We are looking for a Dental Assistant to add to our growing team at Carmel Distinctive Dental. We are a general family dental private practice that sees all ages. This position is part time. Flexible on days/hours of the week. Our hours are currently M 8 am - 3 pm &amp; M/T/Th 9 am - 5 pm. Experience is not required, new grads are welcome to apply! We will train the right candidate! We do have the opportunity for 5 days if you are looking for more hours!We are looking for a dental assistant to help treat patients as family and promote good oral health practices. If you have an upbeat personality and great bedside manner, we&rsquo;d like to meet you.Responsibilities<ul><li>Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination</li><li>Sterilize dental instruments properly</li><li>Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history</li><li>Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures</li><li>Take X-rays or dental impressions</li><li>Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)</li><li>Maintain documentation and charts on each patient</li><li>Monitor supplies</li><li>place restorations</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience as Dental Assistant or similar role</li><li>In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)</li><li>Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment</li><li>Outstanding communication skills</li><li>A patient and friendly personality</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job</li><li>Diploma in Dental Assistant or Expanded Functions Dental Assistant</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: In person
