This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your skills, and contribute to vibrant community spaces.DutiesMust know how to throw SOD #1<ul><li>Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, watering, and weed control to keep outdoor areas healthy and attractive</li><li>Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently</li><li>Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and health assessments while adhering to safety protocols</li><li>Manage landscape installations involving planting beds, hardscape features like patios or walkways, and garden structures</li><li>Apply pesticides or herbicides responsibly following safety guidelines to control pests and weeds effectively</li><li>Maintain equipment through routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance</li><li>Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools for operation and maintenance</li><li>Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, tree care, and groundskeeping practices</li><li>Ability to identify various plants, trees, shrubs, weeds, pests, and beneficial insects with confidence</li><li>Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting for efficient water management</li><li>Familiarity with pesticide management including proper handling and application techniques</li><li>Hands-on outdoor work experience in diverse weather conditions with a focus on safety compliance</li><li>Excellent understanding of horticulture principles related to plant health and landscape design principles</li></ul>This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about outdoor environments who thrive in active settings.
