<div><div><p>Job Description: The Traffic Supervisor role is to provide excellent customer service to all accounts related to warehousing along with overseeing the inbound/outbound shipments and yard control. Expected to take initiative, think, and act in the spirit of continuous improvement.</p></div><div><div><p><br>
Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>
Overseewarehouse traffic team members.</li><li>
Revise and follow SOP for accounts related to traffic department.</li><li>
Oversee the operation between warehouse, traffic, and drivers daily to ensure cargo is loaded/unloaded/transferred as planned.</li><li>
Ensure all datais entered accordingly in the appointment system.</li><li>
Coordinates with all departments related to the operation to ensure proper workflow, shipment prioritization and volume availability.</li><li>
Oversee yard control equipment and control of chassis and demurrages.</li><li>
Generate daily reports.</li><li>
Oversee that best practices and processes for warehouse customer service and traffic coordinator are followed.</li><li>
Oversee the daily forecast information and updates.</li><li>
Generate weekly drayage and chassis report for billing purposes.</li><li>
Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.</li></ul><p>
Education and Experience:</p><ul><li>
One (1) year of experience handling traffic, documentation, and customer service functions for ocean transportation</li><li>
High School diploma or equivalent.</li></ul><p>
Required Skills/Abilities:</p><ul><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (required) and Spanish (preferred but notrequired).</li><li>
Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail</li><li>
Basic skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook programs.</li><li>
Ability to effectively communicate (read and write) in a business environment.</li><li>
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.</li><li>
Ability to exercise sound judgment in prioritizing projects delegated by supervisor.</li><li>
Ability to multi-task, manage and follow through on multiple projects, prioritize duties, and handle a high-volume work load.</li></ul></div></div></div>
