Job Responsibilities
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will:
 Lead with Purpose &ndash; Plan, organize, develop, and coordinate daily HR operations while supporting a positive and professional work environment. 
 Ensure Compliance &ndash; Maintain up-to-date knowledge and application of federal and state employment regulations, including wages, overtime, workers&rsquo; compensation, and benefits requirements. 
 Support Strategic HR Initiatives &ndash; Assist in developing, auditing, and updating HR policies and procedures to align with corporate needs and legal requirements. 
 Partner with Leaders &ndash; Consult with department managers on staffing, employee relations, and performance improvement initiatives. 
 Maintain Systems &amp; Records &ndash; Manage HRIS and filing systems to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with employment laws. 
 Administer Benefits &ndash; Review, recommend, and assist with the negotiation of employee benefit programs to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. 
 Drive Training &amp; Development &ndash; Assess training needs, create learning programs, and coordinate corporate training and recognition initiatives. 
 Foster Engagement &ndash; Support employee appreciation events, recognition programs, and activities that enhance culture and retention. 
 Manage Key Processes &ndash; Process and track workers&rsquo; compensation claims, participate in wage surveys, and provide data-driven HR insights to leadership. 
 Collaborate &amp; Communicate &ndash; Serve on committees, lead initiatives, and maintain strong relationships across the organization while upholding Cedar Community&rsquo;s mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 
2+ years of experience in a generalist or HR leadership role 
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices 
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills 
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite 
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times 
Proven ability to collaborate effectively and adapt in a fast-paced environment
