Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a commitment to maintaining and building beautiful landscapes. This role involves various tasks related to landscape maintenance, including hardscaping, landscaping, drainage, and sod. You will play a crucial part in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties.Duties<ul><li>Assist in hardscape projects, including building patios, walkways, and retaining walls.</li><li>Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks.</li><li>Irrigate lawns and gardens to ensure proper hydration of plants.</li><li>Conduct tree pruning to maintain healthy growth and appearance.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of job sites by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to execute landscaping projects effectively and on time.</li><li>Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Experience with hardscape installation is preferred but not required.</li><li>Proficiency in using power tools such as saws, grinders, and blowers.</li><li>Knowledge of irrigation systems and proper watering techniques for diverse plant types preferred but not required</li><li>Ability to perform tree trimming and basic gardening tasks effectively.</li><li>Strong attention to detail in landscape maintenance practices.</li><li>Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions.</li><li>Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.</li></ul>Join us in creating beautiful outdoor spaces while enjoying the satisfaction of seeing your work come to life in the Des Moines metro!Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>On-the-job training</li><li>Opportunities for advancement</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Landscape maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Driver's License (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Norwalk, IA 50211 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Norwalk, IA 50211: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
