Job Description - BookkeeperStatus: Nonexempt hourly part time (20 -30 hours per week with potential to increase to full time) Reports to: Account ManagerJob SummaryThis is a W2 employee position. The Bookkeeper will support both the overall business and specific clients through maintenance of financial records, preparing reports, and updating financial information under the supervision of the Account Manager.We are looking for candidates that have a least 2 years of bookkeeping experience and QuickBooks Online experience. This role will be supporting anywhere from 20-30 businesses. Organization, time management, and adapatable to change is key.Cents and Balance does offer a flexible work schedule. However, it is required that the candidate be available Monday through Friday daytime hours for training and education during the 90 day introductory period.INTERESTED CANDIDATES: Please respond with your current resume and cover letter. Only the applicants following these instructions will be reviewed.Job Responsibilities<ul><li>Keeping financial records up-to-date</li><li>Processing business transactions</li><li>Fact-checking invoices for payment and processing</li><li>Maintaining the general ledger</li><li>Recording journal entries</li><li>Monitoring vendor statements, wire transfer requests, and other transactions</li><li>Posting customer checks, vendor payments, and ACH payments</li><li>Correcting and modifying inaccurate files and records</li><li>Reconciling account balances</li><li>Communicating with clients via phone, email, and video conferencing</li><li>Other administrative tasks as needed</li></ul>Required Skills and Qualifications<ul><li>Self-motivated and self-directed</li><li>Accurate and precise attention to detail</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize</li><li>Data entry and word processing skills</li><li>Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals</li><li>Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports</li><li>Familiarity with payroll reporting</li><li>Able to use 10-key by touch, with accurate data entry, and handle high volumes of daily data/information</li><li>Experience in QuickBooks Online</li><li>Excellent computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office preferred</li></ul>Physical Demands and Working Conditions<ul><li>Must be able to clearly communicate with clients and vendors</li><li>Requires manual dexterity for keyboard use</li><li>Extended periods of computer use</li><li>This position is remote.
