Position Summary:The Web Developer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and enhancing Centurions Michigan&rsquo;s website to ensure it is secure, user-friendly, visually engaging, and mission-driven. This role ensures that the website serves as an effective platform for community education, volunteer engagement, event promotion, and resource sharing.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop, maintain, and update the Centurions Michigan website to reflect current programs, events, and organizational priorities.</li><li>Implement website features that improve user experience, accessibility, and engagement.</li><li>Ensure website security, performance, and compliance with privacy standards.</li><li>Collaborate with communications and program teams to integrate social media, donation platforms, newsletters, and volunteer sign-up forms.</li><li>Optimize the website for search engines (SEO) and mobile responsiveness.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner.</li><li>Regularly back up website data and monitor for vulnerabilities or errors.</li><li>Recommend and implement new tools, plugins, or technologies to improve functionality.</li><li>Support content uploads, including graphics, blog posts, educational materials, and event information.</li><li>Ensure the website reflects Centurions Michigan&rsquo;s branding and messaging guidelines.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience with website development and maintenance (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or similar platforms).</li><li>Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript; PHP or other backend languages are a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with website security practices, SEO, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).</li><li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with non-technical team members.</li><li>Commitment to Centurions Michigan&rsquo;s mission to combat human trafficking.</li></ul>Background checks and relevant clearances are required.Job Type: Part-timePay: $1.00 per yearExpected hours: No less than 5 per weekWork Location: Remote
