Responsibilities</h3>
Assessment and Evaluation:<ul><li>
Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments to identify the underlying factors contributing to challenging behaviors and/or skill deficits.</li><li>
Analyze assessment data to develop a clear understanding of the client's needs, strengths, and areas for intervention.</li><li>
Use evidence-based assessment tools and methods to inform treatment planning and guide decision-making.</li></ul>
Treatment Planning and Implementation:<ul><li>
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, that include evidence- based interventions and clearly outlined behavior reduction and skill acquisition goals.</li><li>
Collaborate with the treatment team, including behavior technicians and other professionals, to ensure proper implementation of the strategies and interventions outlined in the treatment plan.</li><li>
Provide training and supervision to ensure fidelity of treatment implementation and adherence to best practices.</li></ul>
Ongoing Monitoring and Analysis:<ul><li>
Regularly collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make data- driven decisions to modify treatment plans as necessary.</li><li>
Monitor client progress, track behavior change, and adjust interventions to optimize outcomes.</li><li>
Conduct periodic re-assessments to assess progress, update treatment goals, and adjust strategies based on new information.</li></ul>
Collaboration and Communication:<ul><li>
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the client's care to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach.</li><li>
Provide guidance and support to families in implementing antecedent and consequence strategies at home and in other natural settings.</li><li>
Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders, including regular progress updates, sharing assessment results, and discussing treatment plans.</li></ul>
Supervision and Training:<ul><li>
Provide supervision and training to behavior technicians and other staff members working under the BCBA's guidance.</li><li>
Conduct regular meetings and trainings to ensure proper understanding and implementation of ABA principles, strategies, and ethical guidelines.</li><li>
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for staff, promoting their professional growth and development.</li></ul>
Professional Development and Ethical Conduct:<ul><li>
Stay informed about the latest research, advancements, and best practices in the field of ABA.</li><li>
Adhere to the ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).</li><li>
Participate in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and continuing education courses.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Qualifications</h3><ul><li>
Must hold a current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and licensed in the state of Maryland</li><li>
Master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related field.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of behavior analytic principles, methodologies, and interventions.</li><li>
Experience conducting comprehensive functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition goals.</li><li>
Ability to administer and interpret a variety of skills-based assessments such as VBMAPP, PEAK, AFLS, ABLLS-R.</li><li>
Excellent data collection and analysis skills.</li><li>
Experience with online data collection programs preferred.</li><li>
Ability to provide effective supervision, training, and support to staff members.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with clients, families, and professionals.</li><li>
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines in the field of ABA.</li><li>
Must submit to a federal and state background check.</li><li>
Ability to sit on the floor, kneel, crawl, squat, run, or stand for extended periods of time.</li><li>
Ability to push, pull, lift, move, and carry up to 35 lbs.</li><li>
Reliable mode of transportation and ability to travel up to 45 minutes.</li><li>
Current first aid and CPR certifications and willingness to complete background checks.</li></ul></div>
