As a Milling Supervisor, you will oversee and manage milling operations at our construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in milling operations, effective leadership skills, and a dedication in ensuring projects are completed with the highest standards of quality and safety.Duties include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Ability to enforce and abide by the safety policies while completing satisfactory and quality work daily.</li><li>Ability to perform asphalt milling operations in accordance with DOT, County, City and Commercial Specifications.</li><li>Ability to read plans and specifications (application rates, grades, slope, drainage, etc.).</li><li>Proven track record of completing jobs under budget and on time by setting clear expectations and feedback to crew members.</li><li>Ability to inspect work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.</li><li>Ability to manage all aspects of the operation including ordering of materials, logistics, maintenance, and outside services.</li><li>Train and mentor milling crew members.</li><li>Coordination with project managers and other team members to ensure smooth workflow.</li><li>Ensure daily maintenance and housekeeping is occurring and pre-trip inspections are written up and submitted daily.</li><li>Daily submission of electronic timecards and shift production reports as required by management with accurate quantities and cost coding.</li><li>Conduct daily safety meetings with crew members prior to starting your shift.</li><li>Working conditions will require various travel, night time work, day time work, and some weekend work.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>2+ years of experience as a milling supervisor, with references preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of the local customers, materials, and specifications is strongly preferred.</li><li>Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Proven record of being a self-starter and able to work under limited supervision.</li><li>Ability to effectively manage and motivate a crew.</li><li>Ability to work well with crew members or inspectors while managing stressful situations in changing environments.</li><li>Asphalt milling experience required.</li><li>Computer skills are required.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and safe driving record.</li></ul>Salary based on experience and skills.If you are a detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for driving successful projects, we would love to hear from you.
