We are seeking a skilled and experienced Milling Supervisor to join our team. As a Milling Supervisor, you will oversee and manage milling operations at our construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in milling operations, effective leadership skills, and a dedication in ensuring projects are completed with the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Ability to enforce and abide by the safety policies while completing satisfactory and quality work daily.
• Ability to perform asphalt milling operations in accordance with DOT, County, City and Commercial Specifications.
• Ability to read plans and specifications (application rates, grades, slope, drainage, etc.).
• Proven track record of completing jobs under budget and on time by setting clear expectations and feedback to crew members.
• Ability to inspect work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Ability to manage all aspects of the operation including ordering of materials, logistics, maintenance, and outside services.
• Train and mentor milling crew members.
• Coordination with project managers and other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensure daily maintenance and housekeeping is occurring and pre-trip inspections are written up and submitted daily.
• Daily submission of electronic timecards and shift production reports as required by management with accurate quantities and cost coding.
• Conduct daily safety meetings with crew members prior to starting your shift.
• Working conditions will require various travel, night time work, day time work, and some weekend work.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a milling supervisor, with references preferred.
• Knowledge of the local customers, materials, and specifications is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven record of being a self-starter and able to work under limited supervision.
• Ability to effectively manage and motivate a crew.
• Ability to work well with crew members or inspectors while managing stressful situations in changing environments.
• Asphalt milling experience required.
• Computer skills are required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
