<p>
Chart's Bearing Repair Technician position plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart&rsquo;s products. Chart&rsquo;s Medina, OH location is currently seeking candidates interested in a Bearing Repair Technician position. This position responsible for working within the overall Service Center team to accomplish the goals of the business in the areas of EHS, Quality, On-Time Delivery, Operating Costs, and Productivity improvements.</p>
<p><b><i>
What Will You Do?</i></b></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Support the work of all other shop floor personnel while maintaining a safe work environment.</p></li>
<li><p>
Performs necessary disassembly, diagnosis, inspection, and reassembly of a wide variety of fans and compressors. Inspection may include visual and/or instrument examination. Evaluates the condition of existing parts/components, for possible reuse or replacement.</p></li>
<li><p>
Willingness to work with other team members in a learning and teaching environment.</p></li>
<li><p>
Performs any tests such dimensional verification, leak tests, visual examinations.</p></li>
<li><p>
As required, operates any equipment necessary to accomplish the repair and rebuild of all customer units.</p></li>
<li><p>
Completes written records, such as check sheets, clearances, pressure tests, inspection reports, etc., as required.</p></li>
<li><p>
Secures units and parts in preparation for shipment. Duties include some painting and packing as required.</p></li>
<li><p>
Operates fork truck, overhead crane, company car or pickup truck, for the purpose of loading, unloading, within the Service Center.</p></li>
<li><p>
Maintains a clean and orderly work area, including such duties as sweeping, emptying trash containers, spillage cleanup, and disposing of scrap parts in the shop, and stacking and organizing parts/units in storage/staging areas within the Service Center.</p></li>

<li><p>Experience in rotating equipment bearing assembly and gearbox repair</p></li>
<li><p>
Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment</p></li>
<li><p>
High school diploma/GED with at least 3 years of large equipment repair experience</p></li>
<li><p>
Understanding or qualifications with NDT testing (Penetrant and Magnetic particle)</p></li>
<li><p>
OSHA 10- or 30-hour training</p></li>
<li><p>
Prior work experience with screw compressors, centrifugal fans, axial fans, turbo equipment, and reciprocating compressors and components.</p></li>

Communicating customer requirements to the company and ensuring alignment between customer expectations and company capabilities.</li><li>
Leading the proposal/project team during the pre‑proposal phase.</li><li>
Conducting internal and external communication, client visits, and translating customer needs into comprehensive technical and commercial order specifications.</li><li>
Actively collaborating with project management teams during order execution.</li><li>
Receiving extensive training and technical field support from Business Units.</li><li>

Your Experience Should Be...</i></b></h2>
