Purpose of Position:Child Care Aware of Kansas (CCAKS) is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Communications &amp; Digital Media Specialist to manage day-to-day communications activities, digital content, and publication processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, has a knowledge of child care, and brings fresh ideas to the team.The Specialist will work under the leadership of the Strategic Communications Manager to ensure consistent, engaging, and on-brand communications across all channels, including social media, the website, and Kansas Child Magazine/blog. We are a small but mighty team helping to connect Kansas families and child care providers to support and resources!Key ResponsibilitiesDigital &amp; Social Media<ul><li>Create, schedule, and monitor social media content using Loomly, ensuring alignment with organizational messaging and funder required outcomes.</li><li>Track engagement metrics, prepare reports, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to collect stories, photos, and content for campaigns.</li></ul>Publication Management<ul><li>Manage production of Kansas Child Magazine/blog, coordinating with internal committees, writers, graphic designers, and external contractors.</li><li>Ensure deadlines, quality standards, and brand consistency are met for all publications.</li><li>Coordinate editorial calendar and ensure smooth workflow from content creation to publication.</li></ul>Graphic &amp; Digital Design<ul><li>Produce branded graphics, infographics, and visual assets for both digital and print materials.</li><li>Ensure all communications adhere to organizational style, tone, and visual standards.</li></ul>Content &amp; Communications Support<ul><li>Draft, proofread, and edit newsletters, emails, flyers, and campaign materials.</li><li>Support website updates and content management to ensure clarity, accessibility, and brand alignment.</li><li>Assist with event promotion, training announcements, and other organizational communications.</li></ul>Collaboration &amp; Innovation <ul><li>Contribute creative ideas and solutions to improve messaging, digital presence, and audience engagement.</li><li>Maintain organized project files, templates, and assets for team use.</li><li>Support Strategic Communications Senior Manager in achieving department goals.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>3+ years of experience in communications, marketing, digital media, or related field.</li><li>Experience with social media and social media management platforms (e.g., Loomly, Facebook, X, BlueSky, LinkedIn) and analytics.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to create digital and print media that is visually engaging and on brand.</li><li>Experience with web design (WordPress) and analytics tools (Google Analytics).</li><li>Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.</li><li>Proficiency with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent.</li><li>Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Collaborative, flexible, and proactive in problem-solving.</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking For<ul><li>A creative self-starter who enjoys both strategy and execution.</li><li>Someone passionate about storytelling, child care, and community impact.</li><li>A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and welcomes new challenges.</li></ul>Pay: $46,500.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
