We are looking for bilingual candidates (Spanish/Chinese/Korean preferred), especially those with knowledge of medical terminology.Under the direct supervision of the cardiologist and alongside a team of dedicated medical assistants and imaging technicians, you will tackle everyday clinical and administrative tasks, which includes but not limited to vital patients, perform EKGs, prepare patients for procedures, and coordinate care plans.Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet patients with care and measure patients&rsquo; vital signs</li><li>Perform EKGs and prepare patients for other diagnostic cardiac procedures</li><li>Thoroughly conduct patient intakes prior to their physician examination</li><li>Input patients&rsquo; health information into a HIPAA-secured EMR system</li><li>Coordinate patient scheduling for their next exam or procedure</li><li>Maintain inventory of all medical supplies and refill all necessary supplies daily</li><li>Verify patient&rsquo;s health insurances and submit authorizations prior to their physician visit</li><li>Answer and triage a variety of incoming calls and faxes during clinic business hours</li><li>Understand and explain treatment procedures, medications, and the physician&rsquo;s instructions to the patient.</li><li>Scan and process a variety of documents and medical records encountered in a clinic setting</li><li>Coordinate outside hospital procedures with the physician and the patient</li><li>Coordinate the plan of care for nursing home patients that are followed by the physician</li><li>Routinely clean waiting rooms and exam rooms after each patient</li><li>Perform other medical assistant and clerical duties as assigned</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree</li><li>1 year experience as a medical assistant; combined education/experience will be taken into consideration as a substitute for minimum experience.</li><li>Bilingual: Advanced proficiency in either Spanish/Chinese/Korean (Preferred)</li><li>PART-TIME: Able to work 3 full days at a minimum (Monday to Friday)</li><li>FULL-TIME: Able to work 5 full days at a minimum (Monday to Friday)</li><li>Able to work on Saturdays (Highly preferred)</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Flexible hours</li><li>Health benefits and paid holidays for full-time employees</li><li>Opportunities for growth</li><li>Access to hands-on clinical experience with direct supervision from the cardiologist</li></ul>Our practice is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, disability status, gender, sexual orientation, ancestry, protected veteran status, national origin, genetic information or any other legally protected status.
